In short
Cisco Cloud Control is a unified operations platform, launched at Cisco Live on 2 June 2026, that gives one login and one view across Cisco networking, security, compute, observability and collaboration. It links your Meraki organisations and Catalyst Center but does not replace the Meraki dashboard. It became generally available on 25 August 2026 for US-based infrastructure.

What is Cisco Cloud Control?
Cisco announced Cisco Cloud Control at Cisco Live US in Las Vegas on 2 June 2026. Cisco describes it as "a unified platform built for humans and AI agents to manage, monitor and defend critical IT infrastructure", and as the foundation of its AgenticOps operating model.
The idea is simple to state. Most organisations that run Cisco kit end up with several consoles: the Meraki dashboard for cloud-managed sites, Catalyst Center for campus networks, separate tools for security, data centre and collaboration. Cloud Control sits above those consoles and brings their data together, with one login and a single view of inventory, topology, alerts and workflows across Cisco's portfolio.
Cisco's own release notes are clear about what it is not: the platform "complements existing Cisco product controllers" and provides cross-domain workflows "without replacing individual product dashboards". In other words, the Meraki dashboard remains where you configure your Meraki networks. Cloud Control is where you see and act across everything at once.
Cisco Cloud Control vs the Meraki dashboard
The two do different jobs, and you will use both if you adopt Cloud Control.
| Meraki dashboard | Cisco Cloud Control | |
|---|---|---|
| Purpose | Configure, monitor and troubleshoot Meraki networks | One operational view across many Cisco products |
| Scope | Meraki families plus cloud-managed Catalyst switches and Cisco Wireless Wi-Fi 7 | Networking, security, compute, observability and collaboration |
| Where you change Meraki settings | Yes, this is the Meraki management console | No, it links to the product dashboards |
| Alerts | Per organisation and network | Unified notifications and Actions from linked products |
| Topology | Per network | Cross-domain topology, including Meraki Layer 3 and switch stacks |
| Availability | Generally available, including the UK | Generally available for US-based infrastructure; other regions later |
Cloud Control also adds Cisco's AI tools, covered below, across the products it links.
If you are planning a Meraki estate today, nothing about Cloud Control changes how you design, license or deploy it. Our guide to the Meraki licensing models and our Meraki setup page still apply in full.

What Cloud Control does with Meraki and Catalyst today
Cisco publishes Cloud Control release notes, and the Meraki and Catalyst entries show how the link works in practice:
- Meraki alerts in one place: Meraki alerts flow into Cloud Control notifications through an event-based pipeline, and open and resolved Meraki alerts are synchronised into Actions, where they can be searched, filtered and assigned
- Topology across products: the topology view shows Meraki Layer 3 connections (routing protocols, interfaces, next hops) and switch-stack members, alongside SD-WAN, data centre and Catalyst Center sites
- Shared workflows: for linked Meraki organisations that already use Workflows, the same workflows and assets are available in both Cloud Control and the Meraki dashboard
- Catalyst Center via Global Overview: Cloud Control supports Catalyst Center through the Meraki and Catalyst Center Global Overview, which already lets a Meraki administrator see the health of Catalyst Center sites alongside Meraki networks and cross-launch into Catalyst Center
- Role-based access: what each user can see and do, from topology to running workflows, follows their role and product access
For campus networks, this matters most if you run a mix: Meraki at branches, Catalyst at head office. Our Cisco Meraki vs Catalyst guide explains how the two lines have been brought closer, and our page on cloud-managed Catalyst covers putting Catalyst switches directly in the Meraki dashboard.
AI Canvas, AgenticOps and Cloud Control Studio
Cloud Control is Cisco's main vehicle for AI-assisted operations. The pieces Cisco has described are:
- AI Assistant: personalised recommendations and help with routine tasks, such as dismissing or resolving supported alerts
- AI Canvas: in Cisco's words, "a multiplayer, generative workspace where operators and agents work from the same live evidence". An investigation can pull in data from several products, and the release notes add a Workflows agent (in beta) that can find and run workflows during an investigation
- AgenticOps: Cisco's model in which governed AI agents help operators correlate information across domains, investigate issues and take action, with people staying in control
- Cloud Control Studio: Agent Builder for building agents around your own policies and workflows, and App Builder for building apps and workflows from natural-language prompts
- Cloud Control Marketplace: where apps and agents built in Studio, or by Cisco's ecosystem, are published
These are new capabilities, and Cisco marks some features as beta or early stage. We suggest treating them as something to evaluate on a defined use case, such as faster triage of branch outages, rather than a reason to change your network design.
Is Cisco Cloud Control the right fit for you?
We will check it against your systems and requirements and recommend the right option.
Is Cisco Cloud Control available in the UK?
Cisco Cloud Control entered Controlled Availability in the United States on 2 June 2026, with Cisco saying Global Availability would follow. Cisco's release notes record that it became generally available on 25 August 2026 for customers and partners managing US-based infrastructure.
At the time of writing (November 2026), Cisco has not published a general availability date for infrastructure based in the UK or Europe. That means a typical UK Meraki organisation should plan on the Meraki dashboard, Global Overview and the existing Catalyst tools for now. Availability and prerequisites change quickly, so check with us before you plan around it.
What you can do now is get ready: tidy your Meraki organisation structure, naming and admin roles, make sure alerts are configured sensibly, and, if you run Catalyst Center, look at the Global Overview link. Those steps pay off today and make Cloud Control easier to adopt when it reaches UK infrastructure.
Cisco Cloud Control is not Cisco Security Cloud Control
The names are close, so it is worth being precise. Cisco Security Cloud Control is a separate, established product for managing Cisco security policy, such as firewalls, across an estate. Cisco Cloud Control is the new cross-portfolio operations platform described on this page, and Security Cloud Control is one of the products it can link to (Cloud Control can receive Security Cloud Control alerts).
If you are looking for firewall policy management, see our sister site's guide to Cisco Security Cloud Control.
How Forever Systems helps
Forever Systems is a Cisco Partner. We design, supply and support Meraki networks, and we follow the changes to Cisco's management platforms so we can explain what they mean for your network choices.
We can review your current Meraki and Catalyst estate, tidy organisation structure and admin access, set up the Meraki and Catalyst Center Global Overview where it fits, and talk you through what Cloud Control would add once it is available for your infrastructure. Working with us on Cisco Meraki
Forever Systems helps organisations plan, buy and run cloud-managed networks built on Cisco Meraki wireless, switching, security and SD-WAN.
- Plan the network: we look at your sites, users and existing kit, and can arrange a wireless site survey before anything is ordered
- Choose the right products: access points, switches, security appliances, cellular gateways, sensors and cameras sized to what each site needs, rather than a one-size bundle
- Licensing made clear: we explain co-termination, per-device and subscription licensing, check renewal dates and quote the licences you need
- Deployment help: we can set up the Meraki dashboard, organisations, networks, templates and policies, and help move you from older or on-premise kit
- Ongoing help: changes, licence renewals and reviews as your sites grow, with the scope agreed at quote
Ask us for a quote and we will confirm what is included for your organisation.
